5:07PM - First Snow fall

Somehow this time of year leaves me feeling a little senitmental. Not really sure why. I mean nothing crazy special has ever happened at Christmas for me and lets be honest New Years is usually a let down. But somehow there seems to be a skip in my step as if the world is turning as it should. Maybe I just want some turkey.

On a nice note-not one late assignment this semester.

5:39PM - Ahhh Summer, the season of scantilly clad women and the men who stare after them

I can't believe that the Salvation Army pays me so much money to drive around the city all day. We stop to talk to a few homeless people and then drive a few people from one shelter to another. The hardest part of the job is that my back gets sore from sitting so long. Don't get me wrong, I definatly need and use the money. Today we spent most of the day making observations of the females we passed. However most of them find it kind of wierd when the Salvation Army van pulls up to talk to them. And the ones that aren't well...

Saw the final installment of the Star Wars saga on Thursday. Could Amadala been any weaker of a character? What happened to I am a bad ass Queen from the first one? Though Lucas has once again failed to grasp the full potential it is a must see for any Star Wars enthusiast. But do yourself a favour and go see Unleashed first.

4:07PM - Thoughts of surgically removing my throat

How can it be spring and I get my first cold of the year. And what a bugger of a cold it is. I did not know that my body could produce so much pleghm. Tomorrow will be my third exciting exam. Only 3 more to go and then 2 days of partying to put 111 Dixon to rest(or out of it's misery). The end of the month should provide some entertainment as we still don't have a place. We keep our fingers crossed for the one on King street but won't know till Wednesday.

New goals of the summer

Bike, run and swim
Visit the East coast
Have the baby(or at least lose the belly)
Hike the Adrondacks at the end of summer or maybe Washington-hmmmm
Master the Banjo
Make some damn money to pay some damn bills

4:07PM - Digital camera rookie

Busy week last week...here is a quick update for those interested with many pictures.
We got to do mask fitting on Tuesday. Apparently they have to get you to taste this chemical spray called bittersomething so you can recognize the taste. Not only does it taste like shit but it burns the back of the throat. The best part was putting on these space helmets so they could spray it into an enclosed area and see if you can smell it through the mask. Luckily I couldn't. They idly threatened that I might have to shave my gotee off. Yeah right-have you seen my face. Still pissed that George Brown/Ryerson is so damn unprofessional that we had to do our testing during class time. Pissed of emails to everyone.

Suffered with Erin(we were both sick and dieing) on the 7th floor Ryerson library. IT is amazing how some people you just meet and it feels like years, some you have known for years but there is never any depth. Yeah lost my wallet. Found it and then lost it on Friday again and then found it again.

3:08PM - Welcome Back

First week back to school and I have managed to suffer through a week long cold. Damn flu shot didn't work. So I tell myself that the body is made to heal itself and I don't need medicine to make me feel better. Total Crap. Spent last night stoned on sudafed cold and flu and I felt amazing. Slept like a baby.

I think we actually may have saved a girls life yesterday. Got a call from a concerned citizin to check out a girl on Queen st. Usually most of these calls are bonk. We found a girl sleeping on the cold cement in -10 weather with just a thin jacket on. It took us 5 minutes to finally wake her up and she was shaking so bad that she couldn't even talk to us. She had to dethaw in the van for 10 minutes before she could tell us what she wanted. We took her to a shelter. I think if she had been out there much longer she would have died.

8:46PM - I think I shit my pants

So I have to leave to go see Neverland in like 15 minutes but until then I am going on a little rant. So I spent the entire day(1pm-9pm minus the 15 of course) working on this stupid Psych paper that was due on Friday. But damnit I got sick Thursday. Headache, nausea and general fucked up. So I didn't finish the paper. So now I spend all day on it and feel no further ahead on it then when I started out. I am so frustrated I want to take my laptop and smash it into little tiny bits. Which of course is a stupid response and will accomplish nothing.

And as usual when something stresses me out, everything that will not help me solve the problem keeps coming to mind. Hey I should call so and so, I need to eat something, what tricks can my laptop do and many other things which will be conveniently left off this page.


By the way I didn't really shit my pants.

Don't ya hate it when you wake up one day and not one but two of your good friends are leaving for other countries. Man I hate it when that happens. And then Old Dirty Bastard passes away. I dare not ask what is next.
Saw Bridgette Jones Diary II on the weekend with Pamela. I think I touched into my feminine side. I think. If you are a chic or Doug Mackenzie go see it but if your a real guy don't go unless a chic makes you. I have to admit it was a little funny. Plus Bridgette is stacked. Also learned that chics get their arms waxed-sucks to be a chic. Pedicures and Manicures for sure this week.

2:05PM - Life moves quickly

So i finally finished the paper that I have been trying to get done for the last week. It amazes me how much I can procrastinate. I mean it is a damn good paper but because it took me past the due date to finish I lose a whole grade. I am a student these next few weeks. Not a worker, friend, son(sorry mom), or social being. I paid too much money to fall into old traps. I want A's and damnit I am going to get them.

9:51AM - The alarm goes off at 4am

So the stress of school is upon me again. It is amazing how out of practice I feel. Lucky for me I study with a good group of nurses who are quite capable of helping this old man keep his mark up. Learned how to check temperature, heart rate and breathing today. Seriously, I love this shit! I now have my own stethoscope. Yes that much closer to a nurse.

Ran into a former resident of the shelter I work at yesterday. He was crying. Apparently like many of us he wasn't making the decisions in life he wanted to. It always amazes me how easy the wrong choices are to make. I spent a good deal of time listening to him. I had no answers but he just wanted someone to listen to him anyway. Not sure I helped but he left feeling better and so did I. Good nursing lesson, sometimes an ear is the best medicine for both the patient and the caregiver.

11:24AM - I didn't think trojans fit a computer?

All those smarter than me who can create viruses and trojan horses that attack my computer and make it pretty much useless should be disemboweled. Piss me right off. I have spent the last few nights solving this little problem. No more internet explorer for me. Seriously if you wanna fuck Bill Gates, then don't fuck me in the process.

Went with Jer and saw Napolean Dynamite Last Night. Basically just an excuse do not study. Seriously that movie is the tits. Fresh to see a movie that is worth the 10 bucks I payed for it.

6:11AM - The girl shall remain nameless and in the past

So the girl who decided to give me a proverbial kick in the junk this past spring, felt that it was time to make second contact. Who does that? I am just not the type of guy who can pretend that nothing happened. Apparently, I was supposed to contact her and let her know if I got into the nursing program. Kinda forgot. Oh well, and oh ya, in case you are wondering, I am most definatly bitter. Oh Happy Day!

We decided on the midnight shift that woman who get breast implants should also get the option to put hydrolics in. We can see a new Springer episode "My hoots can knock you out" Yeah, you saw it hear first!

2:29AM - Breathed her last breath

Susan Burton passed away today. I mean you probably don't know her, but I did. She was one of those annoying people in your life that really want nothing more then for you to take a few minutes out of your busy day to spend some time with her on the phone to hear the same stories over and over again. But somehow she grew on me. In some weird way I am going to miss her. They are going to take her ashes back to Nova Scotia and bury them there. She finally gets her wish to go home. Sleep well my friend.

9:00PM - Back in White...?

Well it has been quite some time but I have finally got my internet hooked back up at home. I know Danielle...about fuckin time.

Anyway here is the update-Started Nursing classes last week and as you can tell I still haven't quite got back into the studying mode. By the way I must give shout outs to George Brown. So far, other than the first crazy ass day, I am impressed with the school. They got these power trippin guards making sure that only so many students enter the book store. Seriously Deputy Pencil Dick step back.

This week I got pulled over by the popo for starting into an intersection on my bicycle before my light turned green. How ghetto is that? I think it was probably racial profiling. You know-"On the lookout for a big harry white guy on a bike. Possible suspect in a candy store raid." He gave me the lecture I deserved and then sent me on my merry way. Always trying to bring the white man down.

Class update: The rights of a mans foreskin and what about female circumcision? Any thoughts???

Other than that I am loving the guy to girl ratio in class.

1:52AM - Brockville Bound

Made it safely to Brockville. Mom rented me a kayak for tommorrow. Sweet Deal. Also going to the hershey plant and making blueberry pies. Bo-yeah.

Broke my McDonalds ban today. I have a weakness for Fountain Soda. No more after today. They are so corrupt. I now know what DCS must have felt like when she went from being a vegetarian to starting the Atkins diet. Damn you McDonalds and your childhood brainwashing. Damn you!

4:38PM - What the...


So yesterday I go to sign up online for my classes and only one of the class blocks is not full. (Class block being where the school has arranged all my core classes in 4 different ways so that students take all the needed classes) Realistically this should not have been a complicated process, however I am a virgin to the whole process. By the time I have listened to the little box that warns me to make sure that I really do want to press okay and have gone back to make sure all is well, the last block fills up. Damn the system!

SO then I had to call George Brown and have the lady on the phone tell me that not being able to sign-up was a problem-like no shit. Then she said that it could be dealt with if I wrote a letter to the chair of nursing. However there isn't an active chair at the moment. Apparently that was a problem too. She assured me taht she would see what could be done. Apparently they were going to register me for my classes by this morning, I guess that was a problem too because it hasn't happened. Crap!

8:26AM - Everything is SO real!

So it was a slammin time on Friday night at 111 Dixon. It was partly an end of Chemistry class celebration and partly a Happy Birthday to Chris, but mostly just an excuse to party! Night of firsts. First keg party at the house. First time Shaun came out and told us he was gay. Missed that one by a mile. Seriously Mel where was your gaydar! It was my first time eating "vegetables". I kept wanting to touch everything. Still love the rugby legs Danielle. Every little detail was so vivid. Carly swore that my hair kept growing and shrinking. Nick made out with random chick number 1 and number 2 and I think number 3. But I think he knew the last one. I will add some pic's of the night once I steal them from Bitchard.
